Child Protection Policy

As a child-friendly and responsible organization, Kamra Educators recognizes the crucial importance of child protection. Our entire staff and systems are dedicated to the well-being of our students. We believe that every child has the right to be protected from all forms of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence, and it is our duty to take all measures necessary to ensure their safety.

This policy applies to all staff members, volunteers, and service providers working with Kamra Educators. As the individuals who are in direct contact with our students, our teachers and school staff are well-positioned to identify any signs of abuse, changes in behavior, or developmental issues.

Therefore, we will:

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment that encourages children to speak up and feel heard.
  • Ensure that our students know they can approach trusted adults if they ever feel worried or uncomfortable.
  •  Provide opportunities for our students to develop the skills they need to recognize and protect themselves from abuse.

This policy aims to achieve the following five major objectives:

  • Implementing safe recruitment practices to ensure that all teachers and staff members working with children are suitable for their roles.
  • Raising awareness of child protection issues and equipping children with the skills and knowledge to keep themselves safe.
  • Developing and implementing clear procedures for identifying and reporting any cases or suspicions of abuse.
  • Providing support to students who have experienced abuse.
  • Establishing a safe and nurturing environment that fosters learning and development for all children.

Kamra Educators understand the profound impact that abuse and violence can have on a child’s sense of self-worth and well-being. For many at-risk children, the school may be the only stable and secure environment in their lives. Kamra Educators are committed to creating a positive and supportive culture within the school, where every student feels valued and respected.

Through the curriculum, Kamra Educators provide opportunities for students to develop a strong sense of self and healthy relationships with others. The school promotes a safe and secure environment where students feel empowered to speak up about inappropriate behavior and are encouraged to seek help if they have experienced abuse or violence.

Kamra Educators are committed to ensuring that every student knows what constitutes inappropriate and unacceptable behavior, and that they are never to blame for any abuse inflicted upon them. By fostering a sense of self-worth and value, Kamra Educators empower their students to reach their full potential and become confident, resilient individuals.
